Generous donation by public-spirited citizens helped CMCF to

purchase and equip a westside Mobile Disaster Unit early in 2013.

Marla and Peter Orth, longtime residents of Corte Madera, presented a check for $7,500 to the Corte Madera Community Foundation on October 26, 2012, to purchase and equip a second Mobile Disaster Unit, identical to the trailer the CMCF owns and manages that is stationed at

San Clemente Park in bayside Corte Madera.  The new trailer is stationed on the westside, at Neil Cummins School.  School district staff as well as neighborhood disaster response teams will have access to the trailer in emergency situations. They will coordinate efforts with first responders, CERT, and Marin Medical Reserve Corps members whenever a disaster occurs.
