MADERA GARDENS DISASTER PLANNING GROUP ORGANIZES A NEIGHBORHOOD RESPONSE PLAN

On February 2nd the Madera Gardens Disaster Planning Group met at Corte Madera Town Hall with 50 neighbors who came to devote their time and energy to developing a a disaster preparedness plan for the 477 homes in the Madera Gardens neighborhood.

Public safety officials have advised that residents need to be prepared to care for themselves for a period of three to seven days after a major disaster.  Madera Gardens is getting its ‘neighbor helping neighbor’ plan up and running with block captain training on March 23.

In order to carry out the goal of being prepared for that day when disaster strikes, financial support is needed to purchase emergency supplies, including radios for all the block captains to use for emergency communication.  Please make a tax-deductible donation today through PayPal by clicking on the Donate button, and type in MGDPA on the checkout screen where
